The ATF just announced 34 proposed rule changes that could remove a lot of the red tape suppressor owners have dealt with for decades.
One of the biggest?
No more CLEO notification requirement on Form 1 and Form 4 submissions.
Right now, buyers are required to notify their local Chief Law Enforcement Officer when purchasing an NFA item. Approval was never required, just the extra paperwork and process.
If this change goes through, that’s one less hoop for law-abiding Americans to jump through.
Less friction. Less bureaucracy. More freedom.
