Process behind the installation design collaboration with @lizzieoh using spent coffee grounds from @sohn.sf ☕️ Pop-ups and installations carry a lot of unseen waste. WRM’s had to be different. The brief to Lizzie was simple: rich in color, and compostable at the end. From developing the recipe to working out the forms, she took the reins entirely, and the result is everything the installation needed to be.

There was a time when a community’s leftovers became its tools, clothing, and shelter. Nothing was waste because nothing could afford to be. We don’t live in those communities anymore, and mass production has changed what’s possible. But the logic still holds, maybe more than ever. The food scape at the Future Material Series was a seed of that bigger conversation: a small, imperfect attempt at what a modern material ecosystem could look like. Thank you @madge.food for making the vision come true. Venue: @fouroneninesf Photos: @michelle_k_min Coffee composite: @lizzieoh

What a dream come true. A private pre-launch party celebrating @withrawmaterials_ ‘s upcoming collection. A huge thank you to @fouroneninesf for the space. I walked into this venue four years ago and daydreamed about one day hosting an event here. To think that a passion project has grown into something bigger than I ever imagined is beyond me. Grateful to everyone who helped along the way!! Thank you to everyone who came out and made the afternoon so special. Photos: @michelle_k_min
