Back on my annual soapbox to remind you to support small if you can! If you are shopping this holiday season, I encourage you to support small shops and local businesses in your area. Every time you make a purchase from a small shop, you’re directly impacting people and their families and livelihoods, and supporting your local community.
Shopping small can sometimes come with a higher price tag than shopping at big box stores, but even making a few purchases with small businesses can make a big impact. And if you’re not in a place to make those purchases this year, you can have a big impact for FREE by sharing and engaging with your favorite small shops posts on social media, so that others can discover them and make purchases.
Handmade and secondhand gifts are also a great way to reduce waste and give a thoughtful gift without purchasing something new.
I’ll be adding several lists of my favorite small shops in my Shop Small story highlight on my personal account @whitneynettles along with blank templates that you can screen shot and add your own to in your stories! Love you all - get out and shop small!
Come celebrate Milwaukee Day a little early tomorrow at the @milwaukeemakersmarket at Discovery World! Shop from over 50 local artisans and makers from 10am-4pm tomorrow, Sunday April 12! I’ll have a bunch of new hand painted items with me and some fun new dice and domino magnets I’ve been making over the winter.

SUNDAY MARCH 1, 11:00-5:00 at the Bavarian Bierhaus I’ll be back at @mkedestashevent_thebrickyard again this year! Bringing so many goods with me to this annual sample sale - all heavily discounted to clear things out and make room for new designs! If you’ve attended in the past there’s a few new things happening this year to help things run smoother and get everyone in!
**TIMED ENTRY** please get your tickets online in advance for one of the three time slots. This will keep things from getting too chaotic at the start. There will be special perks for each time slot, and I’ll even be running and additional 50% off my entire booth from 3:00-5:00.
- All 100 booths will be in the Fest Hall this year (this is an outdoor building - there will be portable heaters pumping hot air in but please dress in layers!)

I’m so excited to be vending for the first time at @thecraftyfair this weekend in Madison, WI! I’ll be in the Brassworks building both days (Saturday 10:00-4:00 - Sunday 9:00-2:00) with a booth full of prints, cards, ornaments, hand painted leather goods, and more! Hope to see you there!
A couple more events to round out the year! I’ll be at @thecraftyfair in Madison for the first time ever this weekend - and then our sweet little Solstice Market at the Kinn Guestehouse downtown Milwaukee, perfect for any last minute shopping needs you may have!
