New piece!! This is me in my favorite time of day to create, when its dark and everyone is asleep and the only light is my desk lamp. Cant forget my assistant who is always nearby This is my first real illustration using gouche and watercolors and I’m so in love. I have been working on and off for 2ish week and have actually come back to it instead of moving on!! So happy and proud of myself 💕🥰😍😁

Im having a great time learning and experimenting with a new type of supplies, pan pastels! The urge to buy more colors is strong but I will space that out over time 😂

My word for 2026 is “rewilding”. Giving nature the chance to rebuild and diversify and build up resilience.
This has been my most challenging year to date but when I felt like the floor had fallen out from under me, I realized just how many people wanted to be there to catch me and that I’m capable of handling so much more than I ever thought. This coming year is all about continuing to find my joy and learning more both about myself and about whats out there
Thank you to my village and when all I wanted to do was curl up under my bed and hide, thank you for sitting on the floor next to me and letting me know its safe to come back out. I’m so proud of myself for not listening to the anxious voices in my head and continuing to push forward when it was the last thing I wanted to do so thank you to me as well and thank you to my therapist 💕
Happy New Year and lets keep this thing going 🫡🥰💪

If you struggle to be creative, I found just keeping your sketchbook open on your desk, if its always in front of you,
you can draw when you want and wander away as you please
This was an experiment in letting my sketchbook be bad. Just drawing until something clicked and i could improve upon it. Sketchbooks are for trying things and learning and that has made me feel 10x lighter and the more I draw and paint the more I want to draw and paint
