15 years ago, sitting on the edge of my bed, I started my label.
The goal was simple: to release my own music—and that of my friends—without waiting for validation from other labels or endlessly chasing release dates.
I was young, ambitious, and above all… naïve.
Some seasoned producers warned me: “This is an extremely hard business.”
But that wasn’t enough to stop me.
The years that followed were full of highs and lows—small victories, big doubts, setbacks, and breakthroughs.
Long story short, after 8 years, we still weren’t seeing the results I had hoped for. It was frustrating. I couldn’t figure out what was holding us back.
Today, I see it clearly.
We lacked identity. We lacked boldness, direction, and most importantly—focus.
Then in 2019, everything shifted. We started releasing Afro House, and things began to fall into place.
In 2020, I ended up in Zanzibar. I stayed for nearly three years.
That’s where we created BAQABO and recorded hundreds—maybe even thousands—of tracks.
When I returned to Europe in 2022, I knew I finally had something to offer.
That missing identity had arrived. And it came straight from the heart.
Now, fast forward to 2025:
We’re celebrating 15 years all over the world, in some of the most iconic clubs on the planet.
And to be honest, it still feels a little surreal.
Was it luck? Connections? Marketing?
Why did we get this opportunity?
Your mind can make you do beautiful things but it can also lead you astray.
Your heart, though? It never lies.
