What’s good everyone. I’m Brian Lambert, I’ve been running Wingless Comics for about 6 years now and we have multiple successful titles under our belt. And have seen great success (nearly 200k in sales) on crowd-funding and various projects. I want to re-introduce my work to everyone. My latest release is AIR FORCE ONES, a sci-fi mecha series set in an alternate near future where the elite have built floating islands named Elysia and the rest are left to fend for themselves on Lower Earth. The story follow Nasir “Nas” Williams, a 3rd Year Academy Cadet, whose willful and sometimes immature behavior gets him, his sister Skye and their best friend Maui Grey into trouble. When one of his adventures leads them to discovering a long lost Legendary M.A.D. Gear, the trio discover that the fires of revolution never fully burned out. Add to that, a mysterious Princess from a mythical land called Valhalla, and you’ve got secrets being unearthed that Elysia will do ANYTHING to stop. An AF1s action figure update. If I had hair, I would be pulling it out at this point. TLDR- I’m reworking the joints on the figtres to give everyone what they paid for. I’m also added weapons at no cost as a thank you for everyone’s patience. The packaging is done. The models are done. As soon as I have the joint articulation where I want it, we are out the door. They say your network is your net worth. That being the case, I’m already a rich man. Had a GREAT weekend at @afroanimationsummit and learned so much. Got to meet one of the architects of my childhood, @johnsemperjr . Creator of the OG Spiderverse himself. @iamcarljones saw my shirt and wanted to know about WHO GOT NEXT? (If you haven’t followed the campaign, go follow for launch in June) so I got to chat him up about it as well. Have to tap in with @wearemartianb . Very good an insightful convo from and intelligent and hilarious brother. Appreciate the love for the IP and for Wingless, fam. Got to check out some great panels and get some industry insights. To top it off, I got to see my brothers @blackbearuwandi and @phil_boutte from @9bcollective in their element. A master-class in mastering one’s craft. And we got to plan out our next moves. I hope this keeps you all satisfied until we publish the full episode… A very special episode of The Chop Up called: ‘How to Spot a Grifter in Black Comix.’ We got a grifter problem in Black Comix. I’ve been paying attention to a few Black comics groups as of late and they have an uncomfortable amount of enablers too. Some are younger (in the game) creators. This new Fraudhood comics crashout is just one in a line of grifters being put on blast. I hope folks are paying attention to the output (content, products, and fulfillment) verses the online flexing of these Black comic grifters. You can post pics of money and fake figures all you want, but your output tells the tale.
