Inspired by the live action opening of Resident Evil (PS1) in celebration of the 30th anniversary. This was the most Murphey’s law of photoshoots. Literally everything went wrong but I still managed to squeeze something out of it. The new batteries for the VHS camcorder I was using died after 2 minutes so I had to lug around a 50ft extension cord into the woods, my scanner can’t scan the film I used for the trip because it’s too thick for the light to pass through so I have to send it off to a lab, and I had many other ideas that didn’t come to fruition. I guess that’s just part of the artistic process- like Resident Evil there will be a remake at some point. The third and fourth were shot on a Nikon F80/50mm f1.4, film Lomograohy Metropolis (desaturated). All shots developed and scanned by yours truly. The videos were filmed on a VHS-C camcorder with a drive issue that consistently produces noise. My goal was B-movie found footage aesthetic. Happy delayed one year anniversary to Gundam SEED Freedom 🥳 • Finally got to do a shoot of my Kira cosplay at Katsu and it was a lot of fun! I wanted to have some pics ready to post back in January for the films actual anniversary but it was probably for the best that I didn’t get pics at AWA considering how goofy my wig looked back then. I really liked the caramel color of that wig but the cut was all wrong. Big thank you to @stillabithungry for letting me use this awesome wig and thank you as well to all the peeps who helped me put this project together.
