⛵️🦩Two-thirds of our happening new Rosé & Co. Pack is front and center at tomorrow’s Saturday tasting. We’re setting sail along France’s Mediterranean coastline, dodging flamingoes and wild horses as we venture from the Languedoc’s Corbieres to the northern reaches of the Southern Rhone. Expect lotsa Grenache and Syrah, predictably, with memorable cameos from Counoise and Cinsault. Also expect to be mightily refreshed and to perhaps start spontaneously planning picnics, porch hangs, and daytrips with these beauties as inspiration. 🌹

Join us in the shadows of the Julian Alps at today’s Tasty Tuesday as we catch up with Visintini, a producer that we can count among our longstanding favorites of Northeastern Italy. 🇮🇹 The estate deals in an impressive range of varieties, cultivating a full spectrum of Friulian specialties. For this midweek featurette, we’re focusing on a few familiar faces: Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio (in ravishing Ramato mode), Friulano, and Merlot – all French natives, interestingly enough, that have become dominant forces in the Colli Orientali. 🍇

In celebration of Mother’s Day this weekend, we’re shining the spotlight on a certain very important grape variety that most wine lovers have never heard of…🫆🕵️‍♀️✨ Fewer than 50 acres, in fact, are currently grown worldwide, yet said variety has, through cross-pollinations, given the wine world some of its most celebrated grapes. Yes, Gouais Blanc is SUPER MOM! 💗💪 At our FREE tasting tomorrow, we’ll sample four of this super mom’s progeny, hailing from four different countries.🇫🇷🇸🇮🇩🇪🇦🇹

Tomorrow’s tasting is all about the pretty, the pink, and, of course, the bubbles! Don’t miss out, 5-7pm see you there!🩷🫧🥂 We’re picking up right where Saturday’s tasting left off, with a rosé Lambrusco. For our second entry, we’ll remain in the land of the rising, venturing to Umbria for a unique gem crafted from iconic Sangiovese and hyper-aromatic Aleatico. Our grand finale is a luxurious Zweigelt pét-nat from Austria’s Kamptal. 🍾

Pull the corks on these fabulously fresh, fizzy things to celebrate both sunshine and May evenings under the stars.✨ Not quite bubbly, this Saturday’s first entry is a Basque blast that’s absolutely as picnic-perfect as it is seafood-centric. From there, we’re diving headlong (not literally!) into fully bubbly...and Italian territory. A rare Austrian variety provides us with what is essentially Prosecco in pink before we turn our sights to Prosecco itself in brut zeromode. Last but not least, we’ll head south to Emila-Romagna for a prime example of the world’s premier sparkling red. Cheers!

At this evening’s Tasty Tuesday, we’re kickin’ it over to the largest island in the Mediterranean for more sun-soaked adventure. Sicily is home to an array of grapes seldom found anywhere else – including mainland Italy. Join us as we explore three of its signature exclusives: Grecanico (dressed in its orange best), Frappato, and Nerellos (both famed Mascalese & comparatively rare Cappuccio).

Hailing from the Loire Valley and dating back to the mid-sixteenth century, Sauvignon Blanc is among the grape world’s most prolific jetsetters, planting its distinctive flag in vineyards all over the globe. ⛳️🍃 It’s also sublimely springy with its signature patchwork of grapefruit and herbs, as well as proclivities toward minerality and tropical vibes. This Saturday, we’re poised to showcase a delightfully diverse cross section of Sauvignons from France’s Middle Loire, California’s Mendocino, Spain’s Rueda, and New Zealand’s Marlborough. Zap!

🪩🚨NEW PACK ALERT!!🚨🪩 🌸 Hurtling headlong into the heart of spring and taking its cues from seasonal festivities, we’ve wrangled together a potently vernal pack that showcases balanced, refreshing whites, firm, medium-bodied reds, and a fun, frothy rosé. Passover brisket, Easter ham & lamb, and goodies from the grill have all had a say in this springy array. Hailing from Spain’s Galicia (times two), Navarra, France’s Bordeaux, Italy’s Emilia Romagna, and Germany’s Rheinhessen (by the LITER!), our springtime ambassadors bring appropriately vibrant vibes and impressive variety to the table...or picnic blanket as the case may be. 🧺

Following in the footsteps of Saturday’s tasting, this evening’s Tasty Tuesday sets its sights farther southwest...across the Atlantic and into the Southern Hemisphere. 🌎 Join us from 5-7pm! Argentina, Chile, & Uruguay are homes away from home for the Sud-Ouest’s Malbec, Carmenere, and Tannat, championing these otherwise lesser-known grapes and latching onto them as beloved, distinctive specialties. Gracias! 🇦🇷🇨🇱🇺🇾

Our tasting today [12pm-3pm] will explore the tangled web of both globally famous and more esoteric native varieties of southwestern France. 🇫🇷 🍷 Cabernet Franc, associated most closely today with the Middle Loire, is a likely Basque-born patriarch, and we’ll sample an example from Chinon as well as a Bordeaux co-starring one of its most famous offspring, Merlot, as well as Merlot’s half brother, Malbec, which is not related to Cab Franc – whew, let’s get confused! We’ll journey into the enchanted valleys of Marcillac for a taste of Fer Servadou, which, along with Cabernet Franc contributes to Carmenere’s genetic heritage. We’ll also scope out an unexpectedly gentle, fresh rendition of Tannat, a grape typically known for its tannic heft and brooding disposition.

Spring has sprung! 🌱 Let’s celebrate with a free wine tasting (as if we needed an excuse) 😉🥂 You won’t be surprised to learn that we’re featuring three of our latest pack’s sensational sippers (along with a delightful detour) at this Saturday’s free tasting! We’ll begin with a très elegant example of the other Sancerre – Pinot Noir in pink – that’s prefect for spring and primed for picnics. Our lineup’s second rosé (it’s officially spring, after all!) is a non-pack guest star and one of our current W.A. crew favorites. Next up, we have an exotic treat from Galicia, a rare solo outing from northwestern Iberia’s Treixadura grape. Last but not least, a consummately carafeable Cotes du Rhone (and W.A. legend) seals the deal.
