We have been dormant for quite some time as our personal lives and other projects have taken priority in recent years. Have no doubt that we will be back with a vengeance.

We are saddened to hear the news of the beloved Saint Vitus Bar permanently closing its doors. Fortunately, the venue itself was only a building and the people running it and keeping the NYC area metal scene thriving will continue to be active. Thank you to the entire Saint Vitus staff and promoters for hosting Windfaerer and all of our other bands that have had the opportunity to perform on the legendary stage behind the unmarked black doors on Manhattan Avenue in Brooklyn.

A new season is here, the autumnal equinox is approaching. Seven years ago today, 'Tenebrosum' made landfall after an arduous journey through the outer darkness. “Heroic epics are about remembering; Tenebrosum is about oblivion, being forgotten and disappearing," writes DC Heavy Metal.
On 2015's 'Tenebrosum' we were tapping into our most melancholic and doom-laden influences. Yet, we viewed this album as an elaboration and continuation of our previous effort, 'Solar'.

"Solar" turns 10 YEARS old this month! Originally self-released in 2012—and dedicated to the memory of a late friend—it was repressed in 2019 by Canadian label PRC Music. "Solar" was a sonic readjustment for the band and ventured deeper into emotional territories than our debut "Tribus". It set the tone for our future. We played a good chunk of shows on heels of this release. "A Glimpse of Light", "In the Shadow of Giants" and "The Morning Star" were staples in our set for quite a while (and remain in rotation today). Time marches on... Cheers to 10 years!
