@wilsonbethel understands that the best villains are never just villains. With Bullseye in DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN, he gives the MCU a character who can change the temperature of a story the second he walks into the room. By the Season 2 finale, Dex is no longer just a weapon pointed at Hell’s Kitchen. He feels like a question the MCU has not yet fully answered, one built on brokenness, control, revenge, and the possibility that redemption can be just as dangerous as ruin. Wilson told us, “I think we all are full of contradictions,” and that may be the key to why his Bullseye works so well. He does not ask us to forgive Dex. He makes us understand why we cannot look away. Time changes everything, especially the roles you carry with you. “When you get to sit with a character for so long, you get to bring more different parts, because you evolve over time as well, » @wilsonbethel says, reflecting with Schön! about bringing Bullseye back to life in the second season of @disney and @marvel 's @daredevil Born Again. Bethel, who is stepping back into the chaos as Dex - a character shaped by contradiction - brings Bullseye into sharper focus: volatile, self-assured, morally untethered, and impossible to look away from. Here, he opens up about diving into Dex’s world again, filming that intricate diner fight scene, and more. Wilson Bethel x @nineteen92mag A Visual Diary. Spotlight on actor @wilsonbethel (Daredevil, Imperfect Women) for Nineteen92 Magazine. N92:  Do you feel like you’re in a new chapter of your life right now, and if so, what defines this era compared to the ones before it? WB: I think I’m (maybe kinda sorta finally) in the grown ass man chapter of my life. I have a career, I have a kid, a family. I’ve always shied away from taking myself too seriously. But when you’ve got a bunch of grey hair and wrinkles, people expect that you’ve got your shit together, and you’re forced to reorient yourself. Which is wild. (Upside of grey hair and wrinkles, I guess) But the truth is, they’re not wrong. I’ve always seen myself as a novice. Somebody who is still very much figuring things out. I still am. But when you’ve spent a few decades trying to figure things out, it shows. The work shows. And that’s really satisfying. I feel like I’ve been trying to make sense of an IKEA instruction manual for years and finally it’s starting to click. Like “oh, the little wood peg thing goes here. This is how I put together the fucking Örslünd.
