I hired some animals to make a dance video to one of the songs off the new album called Creature Alive. They didn’t get along and all wanted union scale and only the elephants would work for peanuts but they wouldn’t fit on the trampoline. Anyways. It was messy and we didn’t finish the shoot, and the goats ate most of the footage but I was able to save this last bit of it. Vinyl and CD copies of the full album are available Lincoln Bayouuuu- get them before the animals do. Please

Real talk. I totally hate being my own cheerleader. I love to play write and make music but social media is awkward and trying to promote and plug shows feels disingenuous. I hate the business side- i’m never really sure how to do it. It feels like putting on a funny hat I’ve seen somebody else else wear more successfully- Imposter syndrome is real.
I do, however believe in the joy inherent in shaking air sympathetically with others and for others that are listening and digging it- and I am very excited to play a set of music at Monk’s this upcoming Tuesday with Josh Flowers and Aaron Parks- they are the genuine article and kind to boot … Here is a bit of Ellingtons “in a semi mental mood” from last time we played monks - our show on May 6 will be live streamed everywhere, taped, and performed before an audience. I would love for you to be there if you like these sounds. The repertoire will be originals and standards some with words some without - tickets are linked in my bio or available at Monk’s website-
