Vrijdag 30 januari transformeert bijKlaas in een muzikaal laboratorium waar niks van tevoren vast staat. Willowherz – de samenwerking tussen 45kHz en Wilsiac – gooit alle zekerheid overboord en creëert live wat jij die avond hoort.
Brent (45kHz) laat zijn analoge synthesizers praten, loopt vocals door zijn loopstation en bouwt warme beats op die de zaal doen bewegen. Ondertussen weeft Wilsiac daar zijn wind-synth magie doorheen: jazzy licks, funky melodieën, soms minimaal, dan weer overdadig rijk.
Het resultaat? Een organische reis van soulful house naar melodieuze techno-funk. Elke seconde uniek. Nooit meer exact hetzelfde.

Volca bass with tempo synced lfo-rate causing the pulsing sound. Tweaking cutoff and peak for that sweet squelchyness. Spring reverb coming from zoom livetrak l6max, which is also the mixer and usb audio interface to record into the phone

Since the other guy dreamed me up, I've been on a musical yourney of self expression. But where I'm from, his rules do not apply. I'm sure he means well with all his routines, but I just need room to create man, sheesh... Oh well, we'll figure it out in due time. Here's some stuff I've been working on:
1. Mixing stylophone beat drums with Aerophone layers via koala sampler, using just my phone-mic.
2. The other guy practicing his licks over and over, booooring, yeah gimme that actually
3. Turning licks into koala sampler grooves, using fun gear like stylophone beat and volca bass as new ways of self expression, zoom livetrak l6max mixer/usb audio interface/multitrack recorder (etc) joins the party
In 2026 I'm gonna keep noodling on tracks and see where it get's me, follow the process, not judge it. It's fun and exciting new stuff. Working with koala sampler, fun synth gear and my new mixer, it's becoming easier to work on some songwriting on my own. I'll also be collaborating still ofcourse, which is also where recording skill and gear like my mixer will be beneficial.

Much to be grateful for, including my live improv skills and dilligent practice. Also dipping my toes into hardware and synths to crank my own beats on. Keep you guys posted on that next year! Let's all share and bring our authenticity to fruition for all to benefit, we got this👌🏼
