Played a fun featured set at Gioâs Truck Stop Mixtape Open Mic Party last week. Including my new single Waiting For a Sign. My friend Pierre snapped these awesome photos.
Tonight at Truck Stop Mixtape our featured artists are two really cool dudes who bring with them two different vibes from the same era with a mix of originals and covers. @wils.bach (at 8:30) has that 90âs catchy pop rock - highly melodic but still edgy vibes that recall the Gin Blossoms, The Wallflowers, and Toad the Wet Sproket. @dreamherozero (at 9pm) is at the other end of that 90âs spectrum with music reminiscent to the White Stripes, and more emo references. Both cats super energetic and fun. Tonight will be a continuation of our new night - Wednesday! The open mic happens 7-8 and after 9:30. Bring your guitar. See you at Bar 10 at the Corbin Bowl 19616 Ventura blvd Tarzana, CA. Party begins at 7. Tonight:
7:50 the past life regressionist (Daniel)
8:00 Randy Doc Johnson
8:15 Tim Mosher

Remember those weird roadside signs from childhood roadtrips? Couple of them ended up in this song.
So did a midlife crisis. Waiting For A Sign Available wherever you stream. (Produced/Mixed/Mastered by Jeff Libey.)
đ Before I moved to LA, I spent the first 30 years of my life in the Midwestâgrowing up near Chicago, then settling in Indianapolis after college. So many road trips during that time⌠with family, with the band. You get to know the highway in a weirdly personal way. Signs like âSee Ruby Fallsâ or âHell Is Realâ become landmarks in your memory.
Fast forward to nowâliving and working in Hollywood with a family of my ownâand Iâve been stuck on a different kind of road. The industry feels like itâs collapsing, and I keep asking myself: Whatâs next? Where do I go from here?
That feeling inspired this song. Itâs about being on the highway with no clear destination, no good exit, just a longing to get back to something simpler. Something that feels like home.
đš I played keys on this one and brought in some of my oldest friends and former bandmates from Indy:
đĽ Brent England on drums
đ¸ Jeff Libey on bass and guitar
đ¸ Jim Borders on slide
đ¤ Stephen Fields on background vocals
Itâs a deeply personal trackâand Iâm proud of how it turned out. Hope youâll give it a listen. Let me know what it makes you think about.

Wils Bach, an independent pop-rock artist from Los Angeles with a musical career spanning several decades, has been enchanting audiences with a timeless sound reminiscent of iconic 90s rock bands like the Counting Crows or the Gin Blossoms. His distinctive voice, marked by its raw emotion and impressive range, has become his signature. With a love for creating soulful, melodic rock, Wils Bach has been performing, recording and releasing music since the late 90s.
Originally from the Chicago area he spent the 2000s living in Indianapolis and criss crossing the midwest and playing in every club, pub, honky-tonk and bar that would have him. He released three records along the way. Two records with his alt-country band Paging Raymond (Please. Quiet. Recording in 2000; Bridges Left to Burn in 2004), then one with pop rock band Peal (Beautiful Baby Elephant in 2007). After a decade away from music to focus on a behind the scenes television career he released his first solo record Indianapolangeles in 2019 and its follow up Shadow and Spotlight is available now.
