Introducing “The Still House”
Proud to have this one finished and ready for others to enjoy. A fine example of the old cliche “it takes a village” many friends had a hand in bringing this build together.
A healthy amount of the lumber in here started as unwanted trees I’ve removed in my work as an arborist. The transformation from log, to dusty boards that sit in the barn for years, and into functional pieces of art is always so cool to watch unfold. There’s a similar story for the oil pipe incorporated into the railings, outdoor shower, and table bases as well.
It’s been a process but I’m quite pleased with how it all came together. Hopefully you all like it too and come stay with us sometime!

Soaking up coastal Canadian vibes and northern hospitality from @jennifer_novakovich and her partner James this week. Video is of a neat route called LoreLai I squeaked together and second pic is the grumpiest Canadian I’ve met. The Bruce Peninsula sucks, don’t come here. That’s what all the locals told me to say anyway

It’s been a goal to bring my traditional skills up to par with my sport climbing for some time now. Was lucky to find an ideal line for it in the back yard and even luckier to have great friends who supported the cause
