Marking its 12th anniversary, Willum Warrain brought together elders, allies, and community members in Hastings on 21st March to honour reconciliation, self-determination, and the Promise of Treaty. Voices from Bunurong/Boon Wurrung leaders and supporters highlighted hope for a stronger, shared future, while recognising the significance of the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
The day was filled with powerful speeches, live music, food and beverages, and celebration — bringing people together to continue building bridges between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians.
We acknowledge this event was held on the land of the Bunurong / Boon Wurrung people.
