I always wanted a picture of this specific tree but the background if you shoot it from the road is always too busy and distracting both in colour and texture... UNTIL... it rains and fog happens. Free white backdrop thank you very much God for assisting me on this one :D Fuji xt5

GFX and 80mm at about f2 if I am remembering rightly. BTW... if anyone ever wonders why I normally shoot at ISO 320 in studio (they don't)... it is for moments like this, so I can open the aperture and drop my iso instead of changing the power on my lights. Techanalogia! It also means I am not shooting at full power all the time. ISO 320 is also cleaner than ISO 250 btw... did you know that?
Composition games with the Fuji GFX 100. I would say something about having to get out the boat if you want to walk on water but it has all been said so many times before. A longish drive for this, wet feet, mandatory and thorough washing of tripod after (salt water and tripods is a big no no... it crystallises when it dries and can damage things). No comfort zone really... this is how I 'relax' lol. What I am saying is I wouldn't have taken any of the photos on here in the comfort of my home. So... take the nudge - get out and do
Phase One with the 55 2.8... I suppose if I had a favourite lens for that camera it was probably this one... well it was the most used at least. 90% of all my studio work with this camera was with this lens. That and the 80. Looking towards St Mary
The mighty @appletonestaterumtour ! Messing around a little with the Sigma 40 1.4 on the Fuji GFX. One of my favourite combos, crazy sharp and gives a pretty unique mix of wide ish focal length (on the 'medium format' sensor) and depth of field. Love it :)
