My mum once wrote an article about historical wassail cups, and adapted a few historical recipes. I randomly remembered it around Christmas and decided to give it a try! You can consume it in a number of ways - a sort of mulled beer, a boozy cake, or a combination of the two with a few extra fruits to make a kind of warming Christmassy porridge. If you're ever curious, give it a try! I'll put recipes in comments.
