Something I've been working on for far too long is compiling stories and quotes from friends' adventures. Trying to put them together in some meaningful way.
Friends in High Places is a compilation of stories and photos. Looking at the more unusual crags, a focus on trad climbing and adventure. I've tried to make it as varied as possible. From well-known crushers such as @jimpopeonarope & @ederlomba , dark horses of UK climbing (@katie.keeley.1 & @tombennelll ) to European trad adventurers (@lea.schneiderr & @aleksandrataistra ).
Across the UK, Europe and Africa. There are some great stories - especially from @guy.ep and @shaun_h123 . Also a special piece by Morus Sanderson in Welsh. Thanks to all who have put up with my constant pestering to write something.
Big thank you to @ramon.marin who has helped hugely with the graphics and @joliehw for the editing. The best quote from Jolie being "why don't climbers know how to use commas?".
It's 98 pages long and I have printed off a small few. Send me a message if interested.
A random selection of climbs from the Americas.

2. Lara on the first pitch of Primrose Dihedrals.
3. The Phoenix, Yosemite.
4. Gwen on Romulan Warbird and Wayward Son.
5. Seb on The Great Flake, Cochamo.
6. Rachel on the last pitch of Velho Alerce.
7. Franzi on a splitter corner.
8. Paso Superior.
10. Approaching Mermoz
It's always a treat when you get a team climbing up a route below you. Especially when the route is quite as photogenic as this one. Charlie and Brad on the uber classic dihedral of Moonlight Buttress.
A trip up El Capitan, on Zodiac, an A3 to the right of the nose. An expensive visit, after leaving two number 5 cams on one of the lower pitches. Three people in a portaledge just about works for 2 nights, and after that, you may become irritated.
Friends in High Places II is a follow on from the original photo book.
More stories of adventures and quite a few photos I haven't posted online.
Stories of winter climbing on Ben Nevis, new routes in the Scottish Highlands, a new E10 in North Wales, Kyrgyzstan adventures and many more.
There is a link to purchase in my Bio, I hope you enjoy 😊🧗.

Mitchka, an ED2 (7a) on the south face of the Meije.
We started from the Promontoire Hut, where Tim was allocated the special guide's bedroom. Apparently, they have silk sheets and massage chairs - I was put in with the rest of the riff raff.
We started the climb at 4.15am, made our way to the summit of the Meije for 3.15pm and traversed along the ridge, back in time for dinner.
Katie in a sea of gneiss, high above the sea on Pabbay. Sam abseiling into the classic Prophecy of Drowning, next to the Great Arch. Dolphins and white beaches with world-class trad climbing. A small uninhabited island in the Outer Hebredies with so much adventure.
