STIR is a quarterly magazine about democratic ownership, the green transition, and building a different kind of economy. It's published by @stirtoaction , a worker co-operative based in the UK. It's the kind of publication that probably shouldn't exist given its budget, but stubbornly keeps fighting on.

STIR Magazine is published via @exacteditions , and I wanted to make the most of their well-thought interface. Each issue is built as a continuous scroll, with articles and sections overflowing into each other, one swipe at a time.

I built the new identity around having to do more with much less: when illustration cannot be commissioned for every article, you make typography do the heavy-lifting. Black, white and one accent colour per issue. Four letters, four colours, four issues a year.
