Have you ever wanted to shut the world out for a couple of hours and just exist fully in the moment? 💆 So does @willoconcertseries , a concert series that is also part of a movement encouraging us to turn off our phones, let our guards down, and actually sit with one another.
It combines the meditative and healing powers of music with socializing to create a new type of social event that many isolated New Yorkers desperately need 🎶

Willo Events (@willoevents ) was born from one of the hardest chapters a person can go through. 🎵
Founder Crystal Desai (@crystalpistol_ ) lost her dad, then her job, then the world shut down. In the middle of all of it, music was the only thing that helped her process what she was feeling. So she built something around that. Willo is a donation-based monthly concert series designed to connect artists and audiences in a way most live music experiences never reach. Each event opens with a mingle hour, moves into a live performance where the audience expresses what the music is making them feel through journaling, drawing, or whatever medium feels right, and closes with a moment to share what came up. Passive listening becomes something personal and shared. 🎨
Beyond the monthly concerts, Willo has expanded into grief cafes, open mics, field days, and other events rooted in the same ethos of authentic vulnerability and human connection. Crystal wants to bring this experience to anyone who needs a reminder of what music can actually do when you really let it in. 🤍✨ Follow @willoevents to know when their nect events are.

To many more cafes!
See you, love you!
Grief can show up in many ways: a breakup, job loss, losing someone, or letting go of a version of yourself.
Grief Café is an open, judgment-free space for anyone carrying grief to come together and create from it. Grief is heavy, but it’s also energy. Through a creative activity, we’ll explore using that energy as a way to make it a bit easier to hold.
No pressure to share. Come open minded and non judgemental. Please arrive by 3:30 PM latest. Donation-based entry: $5–10 suggested to help cover supplies.
Rsvp in bio!
