A clip of the music video for “Spinning Heart,” Snakeskin’s latest single. I am so happy it’s finally out. It only felt right to make a roller coaster for a song that feels like such a journey. @aint_no_rest_for_the_quinn_kid created dozens, if not 100, illustrations and animations for the ride. @snakethegirl and I are dreaming up a whole world around the visuals and ideas in the video, all to continue in the next release. Five years ago I released my Kate Bush Cloudbusting cover! Thinking about how wild it was that @williambottini created and directed this entire video in our apartment, and all the clown paint I had to wear to become the moon. William found my childhood home online and downloaded it so that I could run into my own backyard and dig through it to find a secret. He made so much gorgeous art for this video. At the end of The Wizard of Oz screening this man popped out of the orchestra pit and played the most beautiful rendition of Somewhere Over the Rainbow 🌈 on the organ. So beautiful :)
Yesterday we got to screen the video work for Summoning Suit at Film Noir Cinema in Greenpoint. Thanks everyone for coming out. It was definitely an experiment to see these on the big screen. Im eternally grateful to Emily and substitute scene for making this happen. I hope we can do it again with the next project :3. Loved seeing people here, I miss it! It’s hard to imagine not coming back. With all this behind us, it’s time to take a break and figure out what’s next. ❤️
The album release show for Summoning Suit is next week on Tuesday night @ Our Wicked Lady! Wednesday night we are screening our music videos at Film Noir in Greenpoint at 7pm. Hope to see you there! Should be a lot of fun and a chance to catch up!
