Meet @williambassee , a self-taught designer from South Central Los Angeles. He started his brand with $20, a flannel, scraps, and bleach—and now he’s designing for and dressing WNBA stars such as A’ja Wilson, Dearica Hamby, Kelsey Plum, Arike Ogunbowale, and Jackie Young (to name a few).
Driven to create beyond fashion, he inspires others to see their potential, no matter their starting point.
“My work is a narrative in motion. Each collection I design highlights the strength, creativity, and beauty of Black culture. I want my pieces to be conversation starters that celebrate our identity and inspire pride. That’s the vision. My platform is about more than fashion; it’s a vehicle for impact.”
His work stands as a testament to perseverance and a reminder that anything is possible.

For every kid who feels like nothing is changing.
I promise it is, even when you can’t see it yet.
I know those days when it feel like nothing’s moving.
When the world too heavy,
when the silence loud,
and every day start looking the same.
Sometimes it take a little longer
to see what the concrete produced…
but when it finally blooms
look at the greatness it left behind…
This is just a small example of many 💪🏾
You’re worth it.
You always been.
On God.
