After hours in a bar in 2021. I don't revisit old work much but this small series always felt defining in the kinds of portraits I'd want to make moving forward.

I often say that photography is the only thing I feel like I really know how to do. This the only career work I've ever really known and I am endlessly appreciative of everyone who's been supportive of it so far. Still a ways to go but figuring it out.

I've mentioned to some folks before that one of my favourite things to photograph are what I see as these in-between moments. The things you miss while waiting for what you told yourself is the perfect photo.
While photographing the latest @sauna_sounds
event I captured what I think is an incredible blending of these moments. A performer and the audience at various moments in one image, becoming this apparition of movement and expression. Artists should be able to inspire themselves too, and this piece does that for me.

@lafeefaye came to me with a divine concept I couldn't say no to, and I am elated with the results.
For me these portraits are a wonderful collision of the emotion and aesthetic I strive for in a lot of my work. Thanks again Faye for this collaboration!
