Got to see the amazing renovation job done on this cliff side lakehouse. When I showed it to the couple who won the bidding war for it, it was absolutely gutted from water damage but they saw the potential and were intent on not letting it be bulldozed. I brought the boy with me and we made a little adventure out of it. Sometimes, just the literal doors that are open for you are a blessing in and of themselves. 😉
Worked on this some more. Suddenly feeling ready to start painting on it. Also took apart my 3d printer and fixed it, put it back together with no left over parts so I guess I’m a grown up now.
I’m really enjoying this project. So many opportunities to make myself laugh or look for odd connections or get an odd solace in “well I guess that’s why I’ve been amassing trinkets like anxious crow this whole time.”
March of 2021. I had no idea the nightmare that was just around the corner. I was talking to my brother once, saying I wish I could go back and have not made this or that mistake. He made the point, “well if you hadn’t made that mistake, you would’ve still had to make that mistake.” Maybe one day I’ll put together the record of it all in to a book or website or podcast or blog. I recorded so much of it. For now I have better things to do.
Ella logged into her old Animal Jam account from 10 years ago (I’ve been keeping a Google doc of log in’s her whole life). It’s just kid games and stuff but has a drawing feature. She blew it up like Oppenheim.
