Really excited to share this one from Will Harman, featured in our current group exhibition ‘Britain’s Got Talent’
‘Troy’
Oil & acrylic on canvas
50cm x 50cm
Humour sits right at the core of Harman’s practice. His work unpicks a personal relationship with Britishness, poking fun at the chaos of modern life while balancing critique with celebration. Figures slip into caricature, scenes feel staged, and familiar moments are warped into something slightly surreal and uneasy.
There’s a real sense of theatre running through his paintings, touching on class, taste, nostalgia and the spectacle of it all, capturing the grotesque and the absurd in everyday life.
Harman (b. 1996, London) is based in South London and completed his MA in Painting at the Royal College of Art in 2023.
Works from the exhibition are now available.
