🎭 My lyra act from our Mini ScAERIAL Showcase last night @yosemitemovementarts This character was inspired by the music and expanded upon. I had a lot of fun with this act and focused on creating a this fun optical illusion with double masks inspired by @courtneymccahill . The backstory developed for her is: She is an ancient forest spirit who has witnessed the cruel and violent acts of man. She is enraged by what she has witnessed and seeks to hunt as many men as she can lure to her. She sings to them in their dreams, seducing them with her song, they fall into a deep trance and she lures their spirits to their final resting place, the hanging tree. Only those with pure intentions are safe from the pull of her siren song. “Are you, are you coming to the tree? Strange things did happen here, no stranger would it be. If we met at midnight in the hanging tree.”☠️🍂😴 #scaerial2025 #lyraperformance #aerialhoopperformance #aerialdancer #comingtothetree #halloweenaerial

Fabric Witchcraft with @heelhang was some delicious brain food. I love learning from Jenn because she's sooo chill as a coach and the creativity that pours out of her sparks that motivation in me to get curious and dive deeper. The longer I walk this aerial path the more I realize how important it is to surround yourself with people that motivate you. Otherwise you burn out and lose the passion. I can't wait to put it all we learned together, clean it up, and share it with my fellow aerial community. 🤓🌻

🌿Banyan trees feel like wise old spirits of the forest in the jungles of Maui — My heart is bursting full from the nature medicine I experienced on this short trip. There is something deeply humbling about standing under a tree that feels ancient and wise. Also, the sea turtles were the most peaceful and relaxed creatures I've ever witnessed in the wild. Maybe more than sloths even!? I was in utter awe of how many intimate experiences with nature seemed to fall upon us with minimal effort. We don't have anything quite like this in California. If you have the chance to go appreciate these grandmother trees and swim with sea turtles for yourself, I would whole heartedly recommend a trip to the island Maui. It is the best kind of soul food I have experienced in a while. ❤️

The beauty that is our backyard ✨ After taking a lil break from regular flow arts practice, I’m getting back into picking up my props more regularly, especially my poi. It feels cool to finally unlock crossers! 🤘

First batch of GrassROOTS tees has officially arrived, and I’m so happy with how they turned out! 🌿 This first round was a special pre-order for our studio members, and seeing our little community represented in wearable form feels pretty sweet. Now I’m thinking about opening up another order for public purchase with our logo in all white on the breast and a yoga quote on the back. What do you think?! — we have to ask: Who wants one? 🤍

Maui, you really showed off 🌺🔥 First time on the island and somehow we packed in a whole lifetime of magic… fire spinning in Kīhei by the weekly fire circle, a luau, incredible food, Haleakalā, bamboo forest + waterfall adventures, snorkeling with the most beautiful fish and sea turtles, dancing our hearts out at a drum circle, and soaking up time with family, friends, and sweet locals. I’m leaving today feeling so so grateful. A short and sweet getaway that filled my cup all the way up. I can definitely see island life becoming a more regular thing 😏 But for now… I miss my animals and I am very ready for all the snuggles awaiting me back home. Until next time, Maui 🤍

Mariposa still has a way of feeling like home to me. I do not live there now, but I used to, and some of my very favorite humans still do. So coming back for Mariposa Facelift felt a little like returning to a place that still knows my heart. There is something wildly inspiring about watching a whole town roll up its sleeves for the simple, beautiful act of caring. Young kids, grandparents, families, friends, piles of trash being weighed, coffee in hand, tacos on deck, raffle prizes everywhere, and people genuinely happy to help. It is small-town magic with a dusty, wholesome, slightly chaotic sparkle. I was so happy to be part of the Balanced Rock booth sharing yoga, art, nature, and wellness in the middle of all that goodness. It felt like one big reminder that community care can be joyful, a little quirky, and deeply meaningful all at once. Mariposa, you are full of good humans and big heart. Thanks for still feeling like home. 🤍🌿✨

Proof that Easter energy and aerial Lyra are a dangerous combination. 🐣😂 Teresa wore the chicken socks first, then gifted me a pair, and naturally things escalated into this. @sierramudfox Happy Easter friends!

Three weeks with these humans felt both expansive and impossibly brief. I’m still taking in all that was shared, witnessed, and felt. We gathered as a deeply diverse group of kind people and, somewhere along the way, became a little piece of community for one another. We cried, we laughed, and moved through so many beautiful experiences in Midpines, along the Merced River, and in Yosemite Valley. There was something profoundly special about being held by the land while also being held by people willing to show up with such openness, tenderness, and heart. The pace of it all now feels like a blink, yet the experience continues to echo through me. I’m leaving with deep gratitude for the beauty, the honesty, the connection, and the reminder that meaningful transformation often happens in simple moments of presence. Still breathing it all in. Thank you @balancedrockorg for creating this opportunity for the community. Photos taken and edited by yours truly. 🤍
