Filet crochet: the original pixel art.
Open square, closed square. Two stitches, infinite patterns – evolving from 15th century Italian lace traditions, this technique creates picture-like designs in curtains, doilies, tablecloths, and even clothing!

Join us at Luscher Farm’s golden fields for Late Summer Floral Wreaths this September with @bykaystudio_ 🌾
You’ll begin with a guided forage — dried grasses, seed pods, papery strawflowers, silvery artemisia — gathered at their peak before the season turns. Then you build. Layering textures, colors, and movement into a wreath that will grace your door or wall through fall and beyond.

Decomposing Doug Fir needles underfoot. The scarlet foliage of vine maple lighting up the dim understory. Eyes trained low, searching for the orange glow of a chanterelle cap peeking from the duff. 🍄

Artistic intelligence lives in the pause.
The moment before the brushstroke. Before the cut. Before the first mark. The choices you make to questions you don’t consciously ask ← that’s evidence of artistic intelligence.

It’s good to be human, because the robots can’t make this!
Every woven basket in existence requires human hands – to feel the tension, adjust the weave, and coax rigid materials into something both beautiful and functional.
Our Fall season is a celebration of the crafts that keep us human and the traditions that continue.

Breathing new life into our closets with @eileenfisherny 🌼🌱
We gathered at the EILEEN FISHER Portland store for an afternoon of creativity, community, and conscious fashion. With guidance from WildCraft staff, guests explored how botanical dyeing can transform pieces already in their closets using pigments derived from nature.
Guests took home dye kits, and a few lucky winners even left with hand-dyed pieces. The day was all about slowing down, finding inspiration, and reimagining what we wear.
Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate sustainability in style 🩷
We had a packed week with FOUR days of shoe painting workshops! 👟🎨
This experience remains one of our most in-demand team-building offerings, providing participants with the opportunity to design a personalized, wearable piece of art while engaging in a collaborative and creative environment.
Even better, it’s a great excuse to step away from the office, spend time together, and actually connect with your coworkers in a creative, relaxed setting.

What are you storing in your miniature linen basket? Drop your ideas in the comments 👇
@gatesofmystery is teaching basketry on a truly tiny scale! These baskets are so cute folks, you and your trinket shelf cannot afford to miss out.
Cross starts, triple twine, a rim you finish with a needle — just pocket-sized. Experienced weavers and basketry folks, this one’s for you. Ambitious beginners, come for cuteness, stay for the challenge.
Plus, come take this class and see for yourself the tiny origami dragons someone has sneakily been hiding around the studio. 👀
