Mother’s Day beauties 💕 This year we sold out of our limited number of bouquets pretty quickly! With a busy schedule of planning for the @pacificseaweedsummit this past week, while heading out to Ontario to celebrate my cousin’s wedding on Sunday, I decided to preserve my sanity haha Can’t wait to share BC grown flowers with hyperlocal garden love with some wonderful moms!

This year we are going to be offering a workshop series and inviting folks to be creative with us at the farm. We have some amazing local businesses lined up for the growing season and the first one is with @loam.pottery ! This is a two part workshop series on May 2nd and May 23rd. A perfect gift for a big day coming up in May (wink* Mother’s Day wink*) Loam Pottery Workshop – Floral Vase handbuilding workshop Saturday May 2nd 1:30pm-3:30pm. This workshop takes place at Loam pottery 3336 Royston Road. This class will be taught by Sarah Graeme Wild Bee Florals Design Workshop – Spring Compote Table Centrepiece Saturday May 23, 10am-noon. This workshop will take place at Wild Bee Florals Studio 5259 Stapley Rd, Courtenay. Just like that, our 2025 wedding season is over, and we are already planning for 2026/2027 :) Also, I love Summer, but Fall is my fave filled with the best foliage. 09.20.25 I’ve photographed this couple many times. First at his sister’s wedding, then his dad’s wedding. Now it was their turn. When you take part in such unforgettable moments in a persons life, you create this invisible bond (well at least I do, in my own head) that doesn’t go away. For example, I had a couple reach out years after their wedding saying “Hey, I’m not sure you remember me but you photographed my wedding 7 years ago and...” It’s like.. of course I remember, how could I ever forget? And with that being said, after capturing this family celebrating some of the biggest, most heart warming days of their lives, I couldn’t help but feel extra connected. I know most people don’t imagine rain on their wedding day - and the timing of the rain was laughable (rains the hardest all day right when the outdoor ceremony starts). The beautiful thing is, I didn’t see it shift any of the love that they had. Their family was still crying and laughing all day. They took time to connect and make each other smile. Their friends danced up a storm. It was amazing. Week 38. The last week of summer filled with rain made the pathways lush again. We got through our final big push for summer events and I’m feeling so good about what our small team was able to accomplish. From now on we are surfing through till the field frosts over, while collecting seed and getting labels on the dahlias 🏄🏽‍♀️

Wedding florals for M&H✨ in Tofino. I was so excited when Maddy reached out about her wedding florals last year. She’s such an amazing grower who ran an urban farm in Vancouver and is now a professional accountant based in Tofino. Pretty bad ass! Halfden also knocked it out of the park by making the cutest bud vases for their guests to take home.
