I made you a fun little summer drink in case you need it this weekend 🌺
House in Bloom (hibiscus paloma)
2 oz blanco tequila
1 oz grapefruit juice
0.5 oz lime juice
0.75 oz hibiscus simple syrup
Combine ingredients in shaker with ice. Pour into tumbler or Collins glass with ice. Garnish with grapefruit slice and add a pinch of maldon salt if you’re feelin’ frisky 🤙🏻
Last weekend we got to celebrate the next addition to the Wolf Pack with the sweetest baby shower for @nicolegerstenkorn_ 🌸 We can’t wait to welcome Baby Girl into the world with the best parents and she already has the best big sister with Gahlia paving the way!
Sunday Summit Club ☀️ Can’t say much about the science behind it but my weeks have felt so much better kicking them off with a hike in the woods with my girlfriends 🤙🏻 come one/come all but there’s just somethin’ about being in nature, talking about everything, gasping out stories while being winded, and picking out cool rocks and flowers by the water that just hits 😌
This week’s hike was a partial in/out on the Volunteer Trail at Long Hunter State Park!
The half marathon where we had to wake up at 2:30 our time, ultimate course chaos, went in blind spending the weekend with a group of women I didn’t know, I was a degree away from a fellow runner who pooped their pants, climbed the most hills I’ve ever seen in my life, had karaoke at the finish, and the scars from my thigh chafing will allow me to remember this forever 😂
Dad & Mamsie brought a little taste of Northern air this last weekend ✨wish they could hop over for breakfast every morning but for now I’ll pretend I’m with them when I look at my rose bushes, eat our spicy peppers, take one of Mamsie’s muffins out of the freezer, wear my Dad’s denim shirt he left me, and slather a piece of sourdough with Blubarb Jam 🥹
Summer Fridays rinse and repeat ☀️ we love eating outside, new fire pits, @lazo.photo ’s mom’s homemade shumai and dumpling sauce, @kosborne924 bringing me a filthy martini in a water bottle complete with blue cheese olives, @kpbarton and I forming our backup marriage, and the fact that @kmgorbett is furious we are hanging out without him since he decided to go on a trip 😂
