A curta-metragem “Ice Merchants”, de João Gonzalez, atinge um novo e simbólico marco no seu percurso internacional com a exibição no Centro de Artes e Cultura da Cidade de Mitaka, em Tóquio (Japão). Esta exibição surge na sequência da atribuição, em 2024, do Grande Prémio do Tokyo Anime Award Festival (TAAF), distinção máxima do festival, que conferiu igualmente ao filme o Prémio do Governador de Tóquio, reconhecendo o seu excecional valor artístico e impacto internacional. Em 2026, "Ice Merchants" regressa a Tóquio para uma exibição aberta ao público a 7 de março, num evento dinamizado pelo Museu dos Estúdios Ghibli, uma das instituições culturais mais prestigiadas do mundo dedicadas ao cinema de animação. L'affiche de mon deuxième court-métrage, BASALTE, produit par @wild.stream , et avec @bioz._ Merci à toute l'équipe, et merci à la @region_reunion pour ce tournage dans les recoins extraordinaires de ce territoire extraordinaire. Sans eux, littéralement pas de film. Et s'il y a bien une chose qui m'a aidé à garder le cap et pas hurler/pleurer durant la pré-production compliquée (comme tout court-métrage), c'est les décors. Parce que lorsqu'on a le privilège d'avoir ça sous les yeux, on mesure la chance qu'on a de pouvoir y tourner son film. - LIVING STORIES - ABANA Enfants des Rues du Rwanda Un film documentaire réalisé par Sébastien Pigeau et produit par WILD STREAM. En Kinyarwanda, "abana" signifie "enfant". Pour ceux qui vivent dans la rue, c'est "mayibobo", qui veut dire "bandit", "vaurien". Ce sont ces "mayibobo" que je suis allé rencontrer au Rwanda. De Kigali à Huye, j'ai cherché à comprendre pourquoi au pays des milles collines, des enfants vivent aujourd'hui dans la rue. D'où viennent-ils ? Pourquoi ont-ils fui leur foyer et comment parviennent-ils à vivre ? Ma quête de réponses m'amènera à parcourir les rues de la capitale pour y découvrir des vies d'enfants et d'adolescents marquées par la survie, la prison et les violences dont ils sont victime. Dans le sud du pays, le centre pour enfants des rues "Intiganda" m'ouvrira ses portes...
