It’s almost time for our second annual Made in Light student art show and fundraiser!
Made in Light honors the creativity, courage, and brilliance that already exists within each student - within all of us. This show is a celebration of the light we carry and the community that helps it grow.
✨Join us on Friday, June 5th, 5-8 pm, at Gallery 202 in downtown Franklin, for a free and open to the community celebration of student artists and musicians!
✨Interested student artists can apply now via our linktree. The deadline is May 22nd.
✨We need YOU! this event and our year round programming is made possible by an incredible community of individuals and businesses supporting queer youth in Williamson County. Please consider becoming a sponsor or general donor today🎨🌈
✨DM with any questions
Last year, we began what we quickly knew would be an annual tradition: Made in Light. It’s a student art exhibit featuring the work of our students and their peers.
This night is all about celebrating these incredible kids and bringing a multi-dimensional, multi-faceted community together around them to show them that they are supported and cared for.
So please save the date and join us on Friday, June 5 from 4-7pm at @artgallery202 for an evening of music, art, drinks, and JOY.
***Sponsorship opportunities are available. Details coming soon or feel free to DM us for more info on how you can support this incredible evening***
We had so much fun at our INDOOR Puppies in the Park social this afternoon. Our puppies were well loved and worn out by the end, and Megan Thomas from New Moon Rising Wellness led a helpful and open discussion on stress and anxiety triggers and management. Don’t forget New Moon is offering a supportive space for LGBTQIA+ high school students to talk about the issues affecting them. Details in our linktree.
Our favorite well wish from today and a good reminder for us all: YOU ARE LOVED❤️🩹🫶
Next Saturday, April 18th, we'll be enjoying our annual Puppies in the Park social - open to middle school and high school students!
Join us from 3-5pm at Aspen Grove Park for some sunshine and puppy snuggles. This event is always the perfect way to decompress and relax as students head into finals and end of year chaos.
See you at the park!
***If you have a dog who is good with people, other dogs, and staying on a leash, you're welcome to bring them!***
Now that we have "The Iris House," we're opening it up for after school hours so students have a place to chill, do some homework, meet up with friends, play games - just a safe hub to come to for a couple of hours during the week.
"Open Hours" start next Tuesday, April 14th:
✨ High School Students - Tuesdays from 3-5pm
✨ Middle School Students - Wednesdays from 3-5pm
A couple of volunteers will be on site to make sure the snacks are stocked and everyone is safe. We'll see you there! (DM us for the address if you need it)
#tbt (is that still a thing?!) to our 5th annual Wilco Iris Prom and our favorite theme to date: SPACE DISCO 👽🛸✌️🕺💃🪩
We are so grateful to:
@emilyaprilallenphoto for capturing the pure joy
@seizurethedj for bringing the vibes
@restlessspiritsbar for serving up our mocktails
@dandrewsbakery for the yummy cookies
@waldoschicken for the food
and all of our incredible volunteers who made this all possible. Thank you for pouring in to these kids and this community.
We had the best time tonight at @predsnhl ’s Pride Night. Big thanks to their team who invited us out. We met so many incredible folks and our “well-wishes” jar is coming home full to the brim of notes for our students.

Third time's a charm - we are ACTUALLY hosting our open house this Saturday, March 28th from 1-3pm ✨
Getting this space for our students was a community effort and we want to celebrate that with you by inviting you to The Iris House to see how your hard work has paid off (address to come this week via email so ***be sure you're on our mailing list*** - link is in our bio).
We can't wait to see you there!
Our next high school social is coming up THIS SUNDAY, March 22 from 3-5pm at the Wilco Iris House.
Bring your favorite game (optional) and join us for an afternoon of snacks and play. DM us for the address to the house!
We’re so excited to be partnering with @newmoonrisingwellness for an LGBTQIA+ support group for high school students.
This group is meant to be a safe place for students to talk through the things that matter most to them.
You can register at the link in our bio. 🫶
We had the BEST morning at @brotherjones_ ‘s 2nd Annual Literary Day on the Hill.
It was the perfect reminder that students voices, stories, and experiences MATTER. We left feeling empowered and encouraged (and ready to dig into a book).
Our 5th annual prom was a BLAST. Our staff, our volunteers, and our students had the best time and we have so many people to thank for making it happen! Particularly 👇
@seizurethedj@emilyaprilallenphoto@restlessspiritsbar
who all went above and beyond to make this such a special night.
More to come 👽🪩
