For those of you who donated to my movember page and twitch fundraiser, you all blew me away with your support.
In just 24 hours we raised over £500 for the movember charity and I cannot thank you enough.
While the toll on my sanity was great from the stream, those of you who kept me going and made this all possible are truly heroes. Here's to a fantastic rest of the year and more to come!
Final days of our Skipsea excavation were a little hectic but I think we all had a good time. Found our enclosure with a timber hall and lots of evidence of iron working! Great success from the trench B team (the superior trench) which started out with just the hopes of a ditch but ended up being one of the most productive. Such is the way with archaeology.
First week on the excavation at skipsea! So far finds have consisted of some medieval green glaze, possible iron age pottery and a definite ditch cut. (We also rescued a toad).
