I made this piece about two years ago, and it’s probably the wildest things I’ve ever built! Last week I took the time to properly capture it, and I’m really excited to finally share it.
The wig is built from around 50 pieces that fit together like a puzzle. I started by sketching everything in 3D with foam board, then translated each shape into Illustrator, laser cut all the parts, glued hair onto it (this took forever and drove me a bit nuts), and finally assembled all the pieces together and integrated it onto the wig.
What I just love is taking these images that only exist in my head and turning them into something physical. I’m obsessed with patterns, rhythm, and flow, and pushing hair beyond just hair into something sculptural. These pieces feel like wearable maquettes to me and bring together my love for design, hair, and architecture.

I designed this piece over a year and a half ago, and I’m so glad I finally took the time to bring it to life! The pattern and chrome edges feel so mesmerizing to me. Every acrylic piece was individually measured and custom-made to fit this unique base shape 🙌🏻 hope you like it!
