Sean Grayson took the stand at 9:05 a.m. today to recount the morning of July 6, 2024 when he shot and killed Sonya Massey. Grayson says that he was following his training and maintaining a line-of-sight on Massey by approaching her while she held a pot of hot water—a decision that witness Seth Stoughton, an expert called by the State, said increased the opportunity for Massey to become a threat.
