A $400,000 public toilet in Wicker Park’s Polish Triangle. Even though there’s existing (but shuttered) bathrooms in the CTA station below that could be rehabilitated for far less. And lots of unanswered questions about maintenance - San Francisco quickly learned that all of their JCDecaux “self-cleaning toilets” in high traffic areas had to be manned by an attendant.
