Servus in Southern California. Tucked away in Huntington Beach, this little village brings Alpine vibes to the coast - with traditional architecture, authentic food and drinks as well as plenty of cozy character. It features live music, a local butcher, a German bakery (of course), shelves full of German and Austrian snacks, and the most delicious lemonade in the world 😉 I was surprised just how many legit German and Austrian products they had in store - and the fresh Kartoffelsalat and Brezn tasted pretty good! 😋 Old World Village was founded in 1978 by German immigrant Josef Bischof, is still run as a family business and has since grown to house shops, restaurants, a chapel and a hotel. 📍 Old World Village 7561 Center Avenue, Huntington Beach, CA 92647

Three things I am never getting tired of: 🤖 Daft Punk 🎢 Theme Parks ☀️ Sunsets in California Every evening near the South Californian Pacific Coast feels like nature is putting on a special show just for you. Bringing out an array of golden orange colours, mixing them on a painter’s palette with cooling hues of blue. The gradients are breathtakingly immaculate. Also, I found this place 'Pirate's Cove Beach' on a map and you bet I had to check it out. Felt like I was in a 'Die Drei Fragezeichen' adventure (Germans, iykyk).

This year ‚Random Access Memories‘, the most wonderful music album, turned 10 years old. To celebrate, Daft Punk released an Anniversary Edition with additional, previously unheard material. And for the day before its release, Daft Punk created a global treasure hunt for fans to uncover snippets of the music video for their last song ever: Infinity Repeating. The event comprised 10 locations in cities around the world - one of them in London, UK. I didn‘t know what to expect, but thought it would be a fun idea to meet other devoted Daft Punk fans. Not only did I get to know some very fun and kind likeminded fans that day, but we also found a hidden layer to the treasure hunt - a place where we could leave an email address to be reached at. Months went by without any messages arriving at my inbox. But then, about two months ago, I got an email from Team Daft Punk with the offer to receive a ‚Thank You‘ for participating in the treasure hunt. Of course I agreed. Fast forward to this week, where I must have clicked ‚refresh‘ on the shipping tracking hundreds of times every day until I finally held a vinyl-shaped package from France in my hands. Words can‘t describe the happiness I am feeling to be one of the 100 #DaftPunk fans around the world who received a Random Access Memories 10th Anniversary vinyl signed by the robots. The music on this album means a lot to me - and to call a signed edition of it my own is a dream I never would have imagined. I will cherish it forever. Thank you, Team @daftpunk ! And thank you @edbanger & @becausemusic .

The Pacific Ocean has always fascinated me. Maybe because it‘s the biggest ocean on our planet or because it is so far away from where I grew up and lived all my life. Whatever it is, I‘ve always associated the Pacific with adventure. Getting to spend time there now reminds me of all the adventures that life takes us on. And watching the sun set on the horizon, painting the California sky in bright hues of colour, makes me thankful for the adventures that have been - and excited for the ones that will be.

My first time at the #Baftas. I had such a great time hanging out with friends and fellow filmmakers in person again - and to meet friendly faces from #Baftacrew in real life. It was also an incredible honour bumping into masters of the art of sound Ron Bartlett and Mark Mangini, whose work I adore and look up to a lot. When we crossed paths again after them winning Best Sound for Dune, Mr. Mangini even offered me to hold his award - such a class guy.

Making it as a young filmmaker, growing and pushing, is an exhausting process that doesn’t come without struggles. But there are moments, days or nights like this, that reinvigorate your love for filmmaking, recharge your batteries and inspire you to keep going and excel. Thank you to all the talented filmmakers and storytellers I met that night - I’ll keep this memory close to my heart. #bafta #eebaftas #baftaawards #baftacrew2021 #redcarpet
