hi friends,
after some time I’ve decided to release some of my own short film scores that I contributed to. These scores mean a lot to me and I hope you will like them too. They contain a lot of memories of mine that are very important.
Thank you to the directors: @cinesup , @linksmitterechts , @liamerlach , @angelavkuhn , @_weigel , @clarathie , @juanpablosalaz , @manf_ey
Thank you to my fellow co-composers @ezqmusik , @othernoise , @ona_owl .
Thank you to the musicians who played (too many to name here).
Thank you @jakobeisenbach , @jakobsndr for mixing and recording the music and to @zinomikoreymastering for mastering the tracks.
I hope you like it.
😵💫 What does a blur sound like?
That’s the question composition student Paul Schmidt set out to explore. Inspired by the Japanese photographic aesthetic are-bure-boke — grainy, blurry, out of focus — he wondered how that same sense of texture and ambiguity could exist in music.
In his One Minute Symphony, Schmidt translates the idea of boke into sound, layering hazy timbres and shifting textures. Writer Han Kang became an unexpected guide, helping him uncover how blur can resonate beyond images.
🎧 The piece will be premiered this Friday at our ‘Chopin & Sibelius’ concert.
