Kids love the water and down at Whitstable Yacht Club we can get them out on the sea in our safe, fun and exciting children's programme. We take absolute beginners and help them set sail for the first time and then move on to regular weekend sessions, RYA courses and even racing if they have that competitive edge. Children can join our Cadets for just ÂŁ110 for over 20 sessions from Spring to Autumn. It's fun, healthy, non-electronic and teaches stuff you want them to learn: Problem solving, team work, resilience and determination. #discoversailing #whitstable #whitstablefamilies #whitstablemums #whitstablebeach #WhitstableEvents #whitstablebusinesses đŸŒžâ›”đŸŒŠ .uk/youth-sailing-development/

One extreme to the other down here. It's like the Med today. So if you've put off by the challenging winds this Easter, there's still time to come down and get out on the water for the 2pm race start. Someone keen has already started rigging up! Even if it's too late to get on the water, enjoy the stunning view from the members' terrace with a pint.

The club has spent the last few weeks auditing all the boats and other kit on the beach and in the sail loft, Rigden's. We have identified items that appear to have been abandoned and we are appealing for the owners to come forward before the property is auctioned, donated or scrapped. You can see a full file of the kit here: .uk/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Kit-for-disposal-vSG-1.pdf Please pass this on to anyone you think may have left their boat at the club.
