Time for a “normal job” #pain #deep
Before I ever earned from my artistic work (teaching, directing, performing, acting, singing etc.), I already did hospitality. Obv hated it, but I don’t come from a rich family, so it wasn’t really a choice if I wanted a new clothes or phone etc. Maybe Estonians even saw me in Viru Hotel, Vabaduse Kohvik, or selling Estonian socks to tourists on Müürivahe street lol.
So in Rotterdam, finally the “get a normal job” moment happened. I guess it is time to pay for years of writing music mostly in Estonian instead of English.
In this short time here, I’ve already worked in a foodhall ramen place where I felt like I hadn’t done literally anything with my life yet. Then I had a chance to change to Michelin star kitchen where everything was fancy but felt veeeery off anyway (bcs of their values I guess).
At this point I mostly forget the artist version of me exists and just try different “normal” lives here. Would I change it to my life in Estonia? Nopeeeeee, for now it’s interesting like that. Finally got a new film camera to document all of this new lives❤️🩹

Alongside the music, there’s plenty more to look forward to! Including a dedicated stage for Tallinn’s beloved party series 𝐉𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐮- 𝐣𝐚 𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐢𝐝𝐮.

Trying to find time to produce some music and get as nerdy as possible every day.
Trying to make more selfies to stop being judgemental about myself and post cringe but honest diary type shi.

if i could give one advice to my younger self, it would be this:
girl, the first thing to work on is ur self-esteem. it’s the most fundamental key to joy. break the pattern today or the loop will repeat tomorrow🌶️

It was around that time that I realized, sadly, that I had chosen fitting in (by looks) as the main goal of my life.
It makes me sad to look at these photos and see how low my self-esteem was and how scared I felt sometimes.
At the same time, in some ways I was surprisingly brave..😈
