Not only does it have great drinks, but it is a great work-remote spot if you’re in the ‘burbs! FROM ROMANIA TO MCKINNEY White Box Roastery was founded by Denisa Laskowski, who found her passion for coffee while traveling the world. She eventually made her way to North Texas, bringing her global perspective and Romanian-sourced beans with her. With its old-world charm and industrial feel, the Cotton Mill is the perfect spot! WHAT TO ORDER Their seasonal drinks are a standout… we loved the blackberry buttercake latte and the peaches & cream matcha. And you can’t miss the pastries!! We tried the almond croissant and ginger apricot scone, and both were the perfect pairings to our drinks! They’ll even warm them up for you! P.S. There’s also a small kids’ corner with toys and a mini kitchen! INSIDE THE COTTON MILL & A HIDDEN GARDEN Built in 1910, McKinney’s Cotton Mill was once a working textile factory and is now a mixed-use space with small businesses, event venues, and art studios. You’ll still find old brick walls, vintage machinery, and blueprint posters along the walls.
