The @globe40_ second edition has ended, but it feels as if we have just begun. So many great memories, one of which was being able to chat with all the kids at Burlington School in New Malden, England. Today I received the most thoughtful thank you/care package with lots of treats and hand drawn cards and letters for me and Melodie from the kids.
It’s just the beginning! I can’t wait to do more, make sure you stay tuned for progress updates as we build our campaign for the next edition of the Globe 40 race in 2028.
Thank you @nylonmum for coordinating the conversations with the kiddos!
Loving life so much that I raced around the world TWICE!
What an amazing 9 months it has been, it feels like it has flown by but I have cherished every moment.
Thank you to my co-skippers: @craig.horsfield.sailing@juliavirat@therealsailorworld and @roadtothevendee
Thank you to my shore team and all my supporters from back home. I would not have been able to do this without all the time and work put in as well as all the support and motivation from home!
A huge thank you to all the work the @globe40_ race committee has done to make this race happen.
Another huge thank you to @barenakedpilot and the @barenakedladiesmusic for making one of my favourite songs of all time and remaking it just for me!

Jack!
Félicitations à tous les deux Melodie Ocean Racing and Colin Campbell ! Mélodie Schaffer vient de boucler sa 2ème Globe40 !
For me it’s been 3 legs, but for Melodie, it’s been 8 months of racing a year before that prepping the boat…this chapter closes in 73 miles. Definitely with some epic stories. Thanks for the call.
Final 500 miles to go of the 35000 nautical miles of this 8 month race! Nearly there. Fickle winds so still 3 days to the finish. Racing hard and enjoying the time on board, but looking forward to land and seeing family and friends.

Just some fun photos of the last few days. It’s been an adventure to say the least. Should be three more sleeps before Christmas! (Or we arrive in L’Orient)
Lively Sunday on Whiskey Jack. Nice to get the wind shift that brings comfort and speed. And the water is cooling off enough to chill a beer for happy hour
