for every stop on this run we redirected a portion of ticket sales and collected donations for the Amica Center for Immigrant Rights, and together we raised over $1,000!!
it is so so so important to be showing up for our neighbors right now, especially those targeted by systems that criminalize migration and tear families apart, and we are so grateful to every single person who came to a show. no one is illegal. no one deserves to be taken from their home, their community, their people.
this country and the world at large feels heavy, unjust, and honestly terrifying right now. it’s so easy to feel completely helpless in the face of systems that seem so much bigger than us. but collective care is how we push back. community is how we protect each other.
it meant more than we can really put into words to see rooms full of people who chose to show up not just for music, but for each other. when so many people are being told they don’t belong, when so many families are living with the constant fear of being separated, spaces where people can gather safely and stand in solidarity matter more than ever. every ticket bought, every donation dropped in the jar, every person who came out and shared that space helped remind us that we are not alone in wanting something better.
