Back in 2024, we launched a landmark legal claim against Apple claiming the tech giant breached competition law, effectively locking millions of consumers into its iCloud service at rip-off prices. Around 40 million Apple customers in the UK who have used iCloud services on or after 8 November 2018 could be entitled to up to £70 in compensation if the claim is successful. And we have good news. We’ve been certified to take forward the claim against the multi-trillion dollar tech giant. Being certified means the court has agreed that Which? is a suitable organisation to represent UK consumers on a collective basis - and we’re proud to do so. No company should be able to abuse its market position and we believe Apple ripped off their customers with inflated iCloud subscription fees, and we plan to hold it to account. This is one step closer to seeking compensation for iCloud customers. Check here to see if you’re eligible - cloudclaim.co.uk or comment ‘iCloud’ to find out more

Disappointing news for music fans today. The Government passed up the chance to crack down on ticket touts in the King’s Speech, despite the Prime Minister promising action just last week. Instead, they have relegated it to a draft bill. That means a lengthy process of consultations and reviews – giving secondary ticketing sites plenty of time to chip away at the proposed legislation Fans were promised action. Instead, touts get another year of ripping them off. The Government must make good on its commitment to fans by delivering a finalised bill in the next twelve months.
