I came dead last in this years shark island challenge trials. I guess I will always wonder what could have been if we had rideable waves.. But to be honest I didn’t enjoy the whole competition scenario. I didn’t like having to surf in the worst surf I’ve been in for like 20 years, I didn’t like the tactics and games some people tried to play. I didn’t even want to paddle out for the repocharge. I learned that I have no desire to ever have any kind of pressure involved in my experience riding waves. I surf because I love it and I think I’ll just keep it at that. Silver lining is I met some cool lads and it was pretty cool to see Cronulla but I won’t be back to have another crack at the trials (maybe I will come back for a crack at pumping island though). I hope the boys get some good conditions for the main event and I can’t wait to watch it.. #bodyboarding #bodyboard #gopro
@calebgrahamfilms made a short film about what I love to do. It's first ever showing will be at the Bryon Bay film festival next Tuesday. It's paired with a big wave surfing film and I'm gonna head up with Caleb for it. Hopefully its received well.
I shot boardcam this day and caught two shit waves. Went in cursing Huey. Everyone went home and @aaronwattsphoto was lurking on the headland with his drone. The tide was well and truely starting to get too low. We saw the first wave in this clip roll through as we stood on the rocks. I decided to paddle out for another half hour to see if I could salvage the day. Glad I did.

What do you even do with good bodyboard photos anymore? You post them to instagram so people can enjoy a tiny version of them.. fish eye lord @reecedobbinphotography still has it.
This guy wanted some POV lessons so he booked in to a Luke Morgan GoPro bodyboard camp and I sorted him out with some hot tips and tricks. Another satisfied customer. Might even be working on a collab.. feeling cute
