Here are a few memories with my Pops in Berlin 2025. Peter (aka Pops) was born in Germany 1948 and came to Canada when he was 10. That was 1-year after my grandfather Wolfgang led the way. Since pops got here earlier this week we have been reconnecting and exploring the city together. He helped me get my race day bib at Messe Süd and is ready to cheer me on Sept 21st! Feeling absolutely blessed for this amazing experience. 🙏🏻🤗💚
I landed in Amsterdam Sept. 4th, hit the local parkrun and have since made my way to Berlin. I’m setup to run Marathon Sept 21st and then pivot back to Holland for a small vacation with Nat and fam. I have more to share - it’s been a great 15 days so far. 🥰💚✅🍀🙏🏻
Sulphur Springs 2022 is happening next Saturday May 28th. I’m going to be on course pursuing my 100mile dream that started in 2019 and was washed away with torrential rain and lessons learned.
If you know me - I’m persistent and a sucker for a challenge. I’ve been thinking about this for a +1000days and now it is almost go time.
See you next Saturday? ✌🏻😎🥦🌈

@runraggedrhino at it again and I’m honoured to catch this native Southern Ontario species live on the trail side. Notice the strength and form. Notice the commitment to the run. This is what a champion looks like in the final minutes before executing on dreams and goals. Big Love to all of TVT as sit here in awe of our amazing Team Captain and this community. ✌🏻💚🥦✅🏃🏻💪🏻 #teamvegantrails #veganrunner
Hello Friends/Family! 🙂 I wanted to let you know that this Saturday at 8AM I'm heading off on my 2021 100mile challenge - with support from so many great folks that I run with. ❤
I thought I would share a map of the course and a link to a tracking spreadsheet. The map shows the 10.5km route up to the Guelph Lake Dam. Running the route back makes the trip 21km (aka a half-marathon.) I will be running this route 8x times for a total of 161km (aka. 100miler :-)) Last year I completed this challenge in under 28 hours including about 3.5hrs resting/sitting.
I won't be running alone (even at night) - I have friends coming along who will be on course and running throughout the event. I feel incredibly lucky to be part of such great and diverse running communities here in Guelph : Guelph Victors and Team Vegan Trails. Also, having the love and support of my partner Natalie Intven on this adventure means the world to me.
O!K! Now you know what's up and this Saturday will be here before I know it. Just two more sleeps. 🙂
This is the map with landmarks:

And here is a link to the spreadsheet which I'll be updating with my departure time, arrival time and distance for each loop:

Happy Trails! 🙂
Big Love ❤

Happy Friday! Tomorrow - Saturday, May 22nd at 8AM EDT - I'm running a 100km virtual race with @crazycat_adventures - aka the “Tail Chaser Challenge”
raceroster.com/events/2021/40248/the-tail-chaser-challenge
Summary: Every 3hrs run 11.11km x 9 times, for a total of 100km in ~24hrs; or “Run 2½ Marathons in about 24hrs.”
Lap Departure Times: 8AM [0-11km], 11AM [11-22km], 2PM [22-33km], 5PM [33km-44km], 8PM [44km-55km], 11PM [55km-66km], 2AM [66km-77km], 5AM [77-88km], 8AM (24th hour) [88-100km]
Pace: I will likely complete my first lap around 1 hour and start to slow down to 1 hour 30 minutes laps (11.11km) over the course of the 24hrs.
I'll be posting real-time videos tomorrow trying to shed a little bit of light on my process for completing a challenge like this. :)
OK! Big Love! 🥦💚✌

Achievement unlocked! I’m taking my vegan food prep game to the next level with a pressure cooker. I know there are a million recipes already but I definitely plan on experimenting with it. Let’s do this! #instantpotcooking #veganfood
