“HEZEKIAH’S LIFE EXTENDED” 2 Kings chapter 20 in the NKJV starts with a caption even before verse 1: “HEZEKIAH’S LIFE EXTENDED.” To extend implies "the act of increasing the length, size, or breadth of something, thereby expanding its coverage across space, time, or scope". Prophet Isaiah was sent to Hezekiah to declare death upon him prophetically but in verses 2–3, Hezekiah pleaded his case with tears, saying: “Remember now, O Lord, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what was good in Your sight.” And the Bible says God said to Prophet Isaiah “Return and tell Hezekiah… I have heard your prayer… I will add to your days fifteen years… and I will defend this city from the hand of the king of Assyria.” *Loads of lessons here.* From God speaking to a prophet, to the prophet delivering the message, to God changing the outcome from death to pardon and longevity. But most importantly, it shows that our good deeds can speak for us before God. Not because Hezekiah was without human fault, but because God saw his heart. Hezekiah told God to “Remember NOW” emphasis on the word _NOW_. I pray for you and for me: may God call into remembrance every good deed we have done, and grant us longevity of life in good health and soundness of mind. God remembers if you don’t forget. So go down on your face and call God into remembrance (Isaiah 43:26). Peace in Jesus’ name
