A very welcome interlude: Life has been fairly demanding of mental energy of late (think a leaking bathroom, a lost cat (now found), GCSEs (not mine) as well as the usual) so it was an extra valuable joy for us to be in the moment for a while and see and hear @david.mcalmont and his band performing the songs of David Bowie at @circleandstartheatre last night. I have loved David (M)’s out of this world voice, music and take on life for over 30 years (crikey) and he’s the person I have seen live more than any other (just trying to think where - Jazz Café, Leicester Square, a pizza restaurant (!), Hideaway in Streatham (more than once), a theatre near Victoria station, Union Chapel, South Bank…..). And as a purveyor of shiny things I appreciated the nod-to-the-other-David earrings. #davidmcalmont #circlesandstartheatre
