From the moment we met, I knew you were my person and I never looked back. You showed me, every day, what it truly meant to be a partner, a friend, an artist, and a parent. You helped me see the world differently, more beautifully. You found the good in everyone. You brought life into every room you entered. I’ve never laughed more, felt more, or lived more fully than I did with you. You were my better half in every way. Thank you.
I wish you could see the love that surrounds your memory. I wish you could see the impact you’ve had, how deeply and widely you were adored.
I’ll miss being the third wheel watching Gilmore girls with Laila. Watching you raise her into the incredible woman she’s becoming, and building a family together was more than I could have ever asked for. I promise to keep her safe and loved.
I’ll miss the way you’d yell at NFL players to kiss, find time for the extended lord of the rings every year and try new pizza in every city we visited. I’ll miss planning our future and beyond. I’ll miss you falling asleep in my arms ten minutes into every movie and then getting mad when I turn it off.
