Spring cleaning in the studio full of some interesting collections I can’t part with. These vintage loop tools for clay have so much character, I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to shoot them before they get categorized in the drawers of tools and flatware.

Vintage tin types from a collection started decades ago. I thought I had lost them, but felt so relieved when I found them recently in a box in the back of a closet.
The box was labeled “gems”

With a BFA in painting from School of Visual Arts, Bette began her career as a set decorator and tabletop stylist - a form of “painting with objects” through production.
After many years, she moved to the role of photographer and then incorporated her love of painting and collage back into her life.
