The BBs debut this past weekend was all about giving influential BBs their flowers. 💐
Our performers showed love to the BBs who are influential to them, and we joined in shouting out ✨Women of a Certain Age✨—the brilliantly creative two-prov comedy duo of Daniela Aguilar and Elim Almedom. 😍 Their unique, relationship-driven improv feels like your new favorite movie every time! So many complex, multidimensional characters you can’t help but want more of.
We’re constantly inspired by the bold risks Elim & Daniela take on stage and how much audiences take away with them after every show. We’re also lucky enough to be coached by Daniela. 💖

One of the best parts of the night was yapping with performers after their sets and hearing what being a BB means to them, and who the influential BBs are in their lives. Whether it’s a person IRL or a character in a show or book, BBs are making an impact everywhere, and we’re so grateful to share this space together.

Tyler Hurula (she/they) is the pinkest poet and explorer based in Denver, Colorado. She strives to be the most queer and polyamorous person they can be. Author of chapbook Love Me Louder (Querencia Press) and full-length poetry book, Too Pretty for Plain Coffee (Wayfarer Books). Their poems can be found in Anti-Heroin Chic, South Broadway Press, Gnashing Teeth Publishing, and more. They have been nominated for Best of the Net and Pushcart Prizes, and was a finalist for the Write Bloody 2024 Jack McCarthy Book Prize Contest. Erika “with a K” is a Latine queer spoken word artist and poet born and raised on the southside of Chicago. They’ve performed in Spanish and English across the country at schools, universities, protests, open mics, and more using their performance pieces to move people to action that empowers, builds community, and centers our humanity.
Their lived experience with racism, discrimination, hate, and violence have made them determined to do everything they can to change the narrative. They are passionate about people, making a difference, and leaving a legacy of love.
